After years of anticipation, ShopRite's newest 24-hour full-service store has opened in Old Bridge.
Located in the Glenwood Green Shopping Plaza at the intersection of Route 9 and Schulmeister Road, the store includes a café named the Knight’s Loft, inspired by Old Bridge High School athletic teams.
Encompassing more than 80,000 square feet, the store features expert butchers and an expanded produce department.
Customers will find chef-prepared grab-and-go options including hand-rolled sushi, gourmet meals and sandwiches, a Shuk Kosher kitchen and prepared meals, over 600 varieties of cheeses and specialty soups.
The store also includes a pharmacy.
ShopRite surveyed residents for feedback on what they wanted in the new store.
“It was important to us that the community be part of the planning, and Old Bridge residents told us they wanted premium quality and inspiration,” said Perry Blatt, director of E-Commerce and Business Development for Village Super Market, Inc., the family-run business that owns and operates the new store.
The self-serve coffee bar provides a variety of options from hot Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, macchiato, cold brew, iced coffee and hot chocolate. Shoppers in a hurry can access the coffee bar through a separate entrance and check themselves out with a tap-and-pay feature at checkout.
The ShopRite of Old Bridge continues to hire for full- and part-time jobs. Interested applicants can visit the careers section at ShopRite.com or the hiring office next door to the new store.
